Here is the Mechanical parts kit as it arrived.  Again Everything Nicely packaged.

Rick even included the Foamy which I thought was something I would have to purchase and did.  but at only .99 for a sheet not a real waist since I screwed up two of them

The Round Box contains the Daco Shutter.  Each bag contains parts for each step.  All the screws and others stuff were in a single bag.  The O-Rings were also in a bag of their own.
Now the work begins.  The first thing on the list was lapping the cold finger.  Per Rick's instructions I grabbed a piece of glass (from a small photo frame I had lying around)
Here is the Foamy put into place. To cut the foamy to shape I used for the straight cuts a regular hobby razor knife.  For the smaller holes I used a 1/4" and 1/8" hole punch and for the large hole for the Daco shutter I used a 1/2" piece of copper tubing found at the local hobby shop.
Next came the Peltier Device.
The Leads were cut to 2 1/2" per Rick.  I used the metal ruler and a hobby Razor knife for the cut.
Here you see the Foamy in place as well as the standoff for the Daco Shutter and the Peltier has been laid in place for a test fit.
Thermal grease was applied to the cold finger using the foam applicator Rick suggested (works great).

The Thermal Grease was applied in a thin layer on both the Cold Finger and Peltier

Now, first the thermal grease was applied to the heat sink and peltier then the Cold finger is laid in place
Now, the 8 nylon screws are fastened, switching sides to insure the cold finger goes down evenly on the peltier. I took great care that the cold finger stayed centered on the cold finger.
Here you see a close up shot of the Cold Finger and Darwin Standoff.

the Flat faces the Cold finger.
Just another View of the Same
Here I have attached a Temperature Sender to the Cold finger.  I ended up using a Radio Shack Temp Probe.  I removed the Probe from the plastic housing and then removed it from the epoxy one exposed I removed the leads and replaced them with Wire Wrap wire since the sire it used was a bit big and caused a tight fit.

At this point I called it a night.  I wanted to let the glue that held the Foamy in place and the Temperature probe set up and outgas.  During this time I read ahead in the manual for the next steps.  The rest of the Assemble has fewer pictures do to how involved the assemble was.  Click here to see the rest of the Construction
